This intelligent pipe handling system consists of actuating mechanism
assembly, power unit, hydraulic system and electric control device, and
it is mounted on the racking board. This system can perform traversing
action, elevating action, slewing action and horizontal action so as to
grip or release the tubing/drill stem automatically. Every action can be
precisely positioned. Motion of every actuator is controlled by
electrical proportional servo valve and displacement transducer, which
fully guarantees accurate movement of the actuators. This pipe handling
system has both manual and automatic control modes. Together with the
local and remote wireless control modes, this system can meet the
requirements of different working conditions.
